So you’ve been hard at work on your app for a few months, weeks and maybe a few days. You’re at the point where you’re ready to release and then you realize that your app name isn’t exactly what you wanted it to be. Maybe there was a typo that was never caught or fixed or your app name was a temporary placeholder or maybe you just decided, “You know what? I really don’t like this name, I really want to change it.” You’re worried however, that this may be very complicated.
Worry not! Renaming your app is fairly simple with this quick trick.
For once in our lives apple has made something very simple.
- Select your project in the Project Navigator
- On the left bar in the Project Editor, double click the target for the app you want to rename
- Enter a new name.
- Rejoyce
When you finish and load the new app, you’ll notice there are now two different bundles after the rename. You can delete the older one from your device using the usual tap and hold method.
